About Aardvark
Aardvark is an Australian heavy metal band from Melbourne, formed in 2021. Not to be confused with the cult ‘70s prog band, Australia’s AARDVARK are a classic heavy metal quartet hailing from Melbourne. Born from a desire to bring the masses together with the biting forces of power and honesty, AARDVARK aim to prove there is weight to sincerity and strength in vulnerability. The band's twin-guitar attack keeps fists pumping with tough-yet-melodic riffs, while their thunderous rhythm section drives the tank forward with unyielding brawn. The band is known for its traditional heavy metal style, influenced by bands like Judas Priest and Accept, and released their debut album, Tough Love, in 2024 through Dying Victims Productions. The lineup consists of Ed Vaark (vocals, guitar), Sorcha Wilcox (guitar), Danny Smith (bass), and Dylan Lieberman (drums). Formation: The band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 2021. Genre: They play traditional heavy metal, drawing influences from the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM) scene. Members: Ed Vaark (lead vocals, guitar) Sorcha Wilcox (guitar) Danny Smith (bass) Dylan Lieberman (drums)
