About A.C. 8100

See artist website here: http://www.myspace.com/ac8100 A.C. 8100 is/was an enigmatic electronic artist from Delaware, independently releasing a plethora of music in 2001 and 2002. The debut album Samplerific came out in late 2001, full of random samples and tracks, built upon a feeling-out process and creative attempts at music, including the club favourite Trance-lucent. Waves of Pleasure was released next in early 2002, largely considered the artist's best work, mixing together various sounds and beats with far more precision and variety, never repeating a sampled track for its full 74-minute running time. The album was full of memorable songs, including the breakout synth-heavy Swimming in Melodies and guitar-heavy Distortion (modulo 3). This release was quickly followed by Virtually Music, a much more experimental album with new directions for A.C. 8100 into the foray of turntablism and ambient sounds, including the epic Synth Sounds.
