80s 80er

Dedicated to German pop and rock from the 1980s, 80s80s DEUTSCH celebrates a transformative decade when German music exploded beyond schlager into punk, new wave, and socially conscious rock. The station plays artists like Westernhagen, Die Ärzte, Herbert Grönemeyer, and Rio Reiser, blending the irreverent energy of bands such as Die Toten Hosen with the theatrical sweep of Neue Deutsche Welle. Whether the music is lighthearted or laced with political critique, 80s80s DEUTSCH captures the creative range and ambition of 1980s German music, including lesser-known tracks from the former East Germany. It's for anyone who lived through that era or wants to experience the era's stylistic breadth and urgency.
