ν[NEU] was a Japanese visual kei band from the Kanto region. They were active from 2007 to 2008, from 2009 to 2014 and from 2019 to 2025. The band stylizes their name by writing it "ν[NEU]" to show how to pronounce it. The band is made up of former members of the band ＨｅａＲｔ. When their support drummer ЯeI officially joined the band in 2007, the band decided to change their name to ν. They released their first single, HONEY Bee★, in July of 2007. So far they have released 5 singles and a full album. ν has gone through several member changes since their formation in 2007. In August of 2008, the band announced they would be going on an activity pause starting at their live on September 2nd. The pause was caused by worry over former vocalist Jun's health condition. At the live, guitarist nono announced he would be leaving the band. Days later, the bands Official Homepage was updated stating both nono and jun would be leaving the band, leaving ЯeI and ヒィロ the only remaining members. On June 30th, 2009, ν announced its new line up. The new guitarists would be 華遊 from the band キス＆ネイト, and たくみ from the band ウェンズデー. The new vocalist みつ, used to be the vocalist of the band ラッド. In 2011 ν[NEU] signs with EMI Music Japan and become a major band. ν[NEU] officially disbands on December 29th 2014. In December 2019 ν[NEU] announces to reunite for a limited period. In 2020 several comeback concerts are canceled due to the pandemic. In 2021 ν[NEU] finally play their first live in almost exactly 7 years at Takadanobaba AREA before the venue's closure. Gt.Kayuu is unable to attend, but he sends over audio data for the performance. Dr.ЯeI participates in the latter part of the live. In their place, LiN (UNiTE. (ユナイト)), SARSHI (HERO), 風弥~Kazami~ (DaizyStripper), and shinpei (ex-SuG) are invited to perform with the band. In June 2022 ν[NEU] makes an announcement - stylized as an interview - about further activities concerning Kayuu (華遊)'s participation in their upcoming lives due to his mental and personal issues and lack of communication with the band. They also plan the members' birthday lives in advance in the hopes that he returns. In November 2022 they held their Mitsu and Kayuu birthday live. Kayuu never returns, thus he is quietly removed from the band. The new line up is : V. Mitsu (みつ) / G. Takumi (タクミ) / Support G. Yumeji (夢時) / B. HIRO (ヒィロ) / D. ЯeI. In 2024 they play three twoman shows with mitsu, FEST VAINQUEUR and GOTCHAROCKA before closing their final oneman tour, "N.ever Commences" at their 15th anniversary fanclub live. After their gig at Shibuya Line Cube on January 4th 2025 they disband.
