About son of bazerk

Son of Bazerk released only one album (another remains unreleased dating from 1994), and produced several minor hits, including two videos that garnered regular rotation on MTV; The Band Gets Swivey on the Wheels and Change the Style. The groups sound could be described as being heavily influenced by the Long Island rap scene that included Public Enemy (Son of Bazerk was produced largely by PE production team The Bomb Squad) and by the style of soul epitomized by James Brown during his peak years. The sound was dense, manic and often noisy, but centered on very discernible funk grooves and ample use of heavily edited samples.
