ROLF are a third wave ska band from The Netherlands who've been writing their own songs since the beginning of 2003, striving to compose the catchiest tunes in the Netherlands. Influenced by a wide array of bands and artists, from The Planet Smashers to Coltrane and from Beef to Big D, the band create a sound that is so energetic that it’s hard to keep your feet from tapping, your butt from shaking and your mouth from smiling! Ever since ROLF self-released their first EP “Doe Het Zelf” (Trans. “Do It Yourself”), which was released in Amsterdam in 2005, the band have been playing shows all over the Netherlands, with Amsterdam as the stadium in which many home-games have been won. Their second release, a full-length album named “Pure Liefde” (Pure Love), was released in March 2007 with the same ethics as their first: let’s go out and play shows… as many as possible. “Pure Liefde” got a great number of reviews in the Netherlands, and also on the other side of the boarder. According to AbsolutePunk: Pure Liefde is an album that can be enjoyed by anyone that likes to get up and bust a move to their music from time to time. Having built a steady fan base in their hometown, ROLF are ready to take it to the next level: the entire country and beyond! So lace up your shoes and buckle up, because ROLF is ready to party!
