Chris Null (obli) started his musical career 15 years ago touring with Sonny Moore a.k.a. Skrillex. Since then he has logged countless shows and hours in the studio with Dead Sara, played guitar for multiplatinum GRAMMY® Award-nominated superstar Julia Michaels and now is finally geting the chance to infuses his solo artistry as obli with the dynamic and diverse sonic acumen he’s accrued along the way. With recent radio & co-sign support from the likes of Zane Lowe (Apple One), Sian Eleri (BBC Radio 1 / UK), Jenny Greene (RTE2 Music/IE), Zan Rowe (Double J/AU), Jason Bentley (KCRW/US), and Wyldeflower (KCRW/US) Los Angeles-based artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist is presenting a captivating vision: “obli is me,” he exclaims. “All of the music I’ve played and listened to brought me to this point creatively. It is the sum of my past and present as well as the art I’ve made thus far. It feels personal, warm, and deep.” Signed to ODESZA's label Foreign Family Collective, obli is currently working out of his home studio in Los Angeles, crafting a new set of tracks slated for release in 2023.
