About I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME
I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME is the solo alternative act and brainchild of Salt Lake City artist Dallon Weekes. The project was formed by Dallon Weekes (The Brobecks, Panic! at the Disco), with the initial collaboration of drummer Ryan Seaman (ex-Falling in Reverse) in 2016. They described the band as "a band out of time. One who faded away into obscurity after struggling to find success in the late 70's and early 80's. Only recently, the internet has begun to uncover the performances and recordings of a band that the world wasn't ready for. Perhaps the world is ready now..." On August 18th, a music video for "Modern Day Cain" was released. Live videos leaked through the following months, and on October 26th, "Choke" was officially released. Shortly afterwards, Dallon left Panic! to focus on IDKHOW full-time. On November 9th, 2018, the duo released their debut EP titled "1981 Extended Play". On August 5, 2020, the band released a lyric video for a new song called "Leave Me Alone" with the announcement of their debut album titled "Razzmatazz", which released on October 16, 2020. On September 30th, fans noticed the album release date on both Apple Music/iTunes and Amazon was suddenly moved a week after its original release, being the 23rd of October. Shortly, a day after, the band announced the change of date being moved from October 16th to October 23rd due to complications caused by Covid-19, along with the announcement of a new single, "New Invention", that was released on October 2nd. On September 17th, 2023, iDKHOW’s official social media accounts announced that Ryan Seaman would no longer be participating in the band due to "a series of broken trusts," along with celebrating the project’s one million followers milestone on Spotify and "Choke" being certified Gold in US and Canada. On October 5th, iDKHOW released their first original song in two years with "WHAT LOVE?", and announced their sophomore album, GLOOM DIVISION, due for release on February 23, 2024. Two more singles followed the track, with "GLOOMTOWN BRATS" and "INFATUATION" releasing in advance of the album.
