About Zoka Matic
Born and raised in Doboj, Bosnia-Herzegovina Zoka Matic came to germany as a fugitive of the war in former Yugoslavia in 1992. With nowadays Berlin-based Bar 25-Artist Dima he founded the beatsport-collective in 2000 which started throwing parties in different clubs at Kassel. Playing regularly as a dj and getting into the business of electronic music he began collaborating with many djs, producers and musicians in the city as well as his vocals took part in the first Einmaleinsmusik Release Hüftgold EP by Der Schmeisser in 2004. After Dima had moved to germany’s capital in 2003 Zoka continued the work of beatsport becoming Residents at A. R. M. Kassel where they promoted their Pitch Plus Minus Parties with guests like Moonbootica, Gregor Thresher, Jona, Afrilounge, Einzelkind…. Since 2006 Zoka’s focusses on producing tracks himself. Zoka still promotes parties in Kassel working closely together with his mate Markus Sittig. He founded beatsport’s music label bespmusic in 2009 and is now busy with label tasks as well. His future aim is to become a classic before he has to sell best…
