About Zan Lyons
Zan Lyons is a violinist, electronic composer and filmmaker. Zan began making music as a teenger with a handful of releases on Foundry records and Moshi Moshi as well as remixes for Super Furry Animals and Panic DHH. Zan is an accomplished film-maker and has had films at the Cannes, Raindance and Onedotzero film festivals Zan is best know for his uncompromising live shows where he fuses live viola looping with frenetic distorted beats and real-time remixing of his own films. He has remixed Ridley Scotts Blade Runner in it's entirety, replacing the entire soundtrack with his own and re-editing scenes - often adding his own film work Alec Empire was an early champion of Zan's work, with Zan playing in Empire's live band the Hellish Vortex and Atari Teenage Riot www.zanlyons.com
