About Yuuki
Yuuki formed June 2004, Brighton (UK) based, from two different bands. They were came together by a mutual interest in improvising. The first recording came under the name of Chavhound, titled Nova SR. This was recorded at Brighton Electric, and is available to stream & download free @ www.yuuki.co.uk. This was recorded just four months after forming. After gaining a monthly residency at The Pavillion Tavern and radio airplay they gigged in Brighton to consistently receptive crowds. They made it into the studio shortly afterwards, to record all the material written since the last recording. Weighing in at 5 songs over 35 minutes, Home Sweet Home and El Desierto are both recorded live at their rehearsal space. Yuuki will be writing, recording, gigging, droning and playing generator parties on the beach this summer. We cant wait. "massive drones of stoner bliss" - nocixel.com "Think of this band as the center point of a shiny dark enormous monolith in the world of stoner rock. A live sound that erupts so big you can't help but get eclipsed. Unbelievable textures swell and rise in the vastness of the sound and beautiful harmonies come ringing out of the mayhem and lift you to another place every time. Check them out on the radio shows....you won't be disappointed. " - blasstmusic.com We like Slint, Kyuss, Isis, Jesus Lizard and hope you do too.
