About Ylid
Born in Burnley, raised in Somerset and West Sussex and later Bristol, such migration has infused Rob Lyon's music with a quality of being in many places simultaneously. Ylid is a legion beast: part songwriting troubadour, part creator of subtle rustling beats, and part intoxicating noisenik - a man with a plan and a guitar in his hand. His music is expansive, delicate, mournful, human, whispered, and broken - sometimes all at once. Ylid has released music on Static Caravan, Cactus Island and Sutemos, and his Awkward Silence release is out now.
