About YellaJam
YellaJam is an experienced multi-genre producer hailing from London in the UK who is currently crafting tracks in the styles of hip-hop, lo-fi and house. A budding music maker since around 15 years old, he began experimenting with sampling from genres like funk, jazz, house, and reggae after becoming a DJ and making his first jungle track during Britain's rave era of the ’90s. His intelligent, eclectic sound has since seen the producer gain support from other acts such as Shola Ama, Iman, Saba and Lil B. He even served as executive producer for the London Urban Collective Project and has recently signed a production contract with Ministry Of Sound (Sony Music). Inspired by music icons like J Dilla, Madlib, Todd Edwards, and Kanye West, YellaJam is a firm believer in staying true to your art and not following the trends. He is currently in the process of producing a lo-fi hip-hop EP called ‘Ombre’, in which each track is inspired by his favorite kind of fragrance.
