About Xaiver Naidoo

Xavier Kurt Naidoo (born October 2, 1971) is a German soul and R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is a founding member of the band Söhne Mannheims and the founder of the record labels Beats Around the Bush and Naidoo Records. In addition to his work with the group, Naidoo has maintained a successful solo career. His debut album, "Nicht von dieser Welt" (1998), sold over one million copies, and his subsequent albums "Zwischenspiel – Alles für den Herrn" (2002), "Telegramm für X" (2005), "Alles kann besser werden" (2009), "Danke für’s Zuhören" (2012), "Bei meiner Seele" (2013), and "Nicht von dieser Welt 2" (2016) all reached number one on the German album charts. Most of his songs are performed in German, though he has also released material in English. Naidoo has been the subject of public controversy for the lyrical content of some of his songs and for political statements that have included elements of conspiracy theories and far-right rhetoric. He has also been criticized for comments and lyrics regarded as homophobic, antisemitic, and racist, and for expressing denial of climate change.
