Watanabe Mayu (渡辺麻友), nickname "Mayuyu" (まゆゆ), born March 26, 1994 in Saitama, Japan is a Japanese idol singer, model, and actress, as well as a leading member of idol group AKB48’s Team B. She was also a member of the sub-unit Watarirouka Hashiritai 7. Watanabe debuted as a solo artist with the single 'Synchro Tokimeki' (シンクロときめき) on February 29, 2012. It is the theme song to the drama Saba Doll (さばドル) in which Watanabe herself stars. On June 1, 2020, Mayuyu announced her retirement from the entertainment world, citing health as her main reason for retirement.
