About Wanna One
Wanna One (Hangul: 워너원) was a South Korean boy group under Swing Entertainment (previously under YMC Entertainment), formed by CJ E&M through the 2017 reality show PRODUCE 101 Season 2 on Mnet. The group was composed of eleven members, chosen from a pool of 101 trainees from various entertainment companies. The final lineup consisted of: Kang Daniel (MMO), Park Ji Hoon (Maroo), Lee Dae Hwi (Brand New Music), Kim Jae Hwan (CJ E&M), Ong Seong Wu (Fantagio), Park Woo Jin (Brand New Music), Lai Kuanlin (Cube), Yoon Jisung (MMO), Hwang Minhyun (Pledis), Bae Jin Young (C9) and Ha Sung Woon (Star Crew). The group debuted on August 7, 2017 with the extended play 1X1=1 (TO BE ONE), with "에너제틱 (Energetic)" promoted as the lead single. On August 16, 2017, the group got first place and won their first music show trophy on MBC Show Champion for Energetic nine days after their debut. Wanna One came back on November 13, 2017 with a reissue of their debut extended play 1-1=0 (NOTHING WITHOUT YOU), with "Beautiful" promoted as the lead single. With the combined sales of their first album and its repackaged edition, Wanna One became the first K-pop group to sell a million copies of their debut album. At the 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards, Wanna One won Best New Male Artist as well as Best Male Group. On March 5, 2018, Wanna One released a special theme track, 약속해요 (I.P.U.), along with its' music video. They released their second extended play, 0+1=1 (I PROMISE YOU), on March 19, 2018, with BOOMERANG (부메랑) as the title track. On April 2018, it was announced that Wanna One would be split into four units and collaborate with different artists such as ZICO, Nell, Heize, and Dynamic Duo for their upcoming special album. The unit names and members were revealed later, with Wanna One - Triple Position consisting of Jaehwan, Daniel, and Woojin, Wanna One - Lean on Me consisting of Jisung, Sungwoon, and Minhyun, Wanna One - The Heal consisting of Seongwu and Daehwi, and Wanna One - No.1 consisting of Jihoon, Jinyoung, and Kuanlin. The title of the album was later revealed as 1÷χ=1 (UNDIVIDED) which was released on June 4, 2018, with 켜줘 (Light) as the title track.
