About Marc Wagnon

Percussionist and electronic vibraphonist Marc Wagnon is a native of Switzerland, and after studying at the Geneva Conservatory and the Berklee School in Boston has made New York City his home for the past 25 years. "Earth is a Cruel Master" is his third solo release. Marc has performed internationally, in North and South America, Japan and Europe. Marc has performed and recorded with several progressive ensembles: The group Tunnels, which he co-led with bassist Percy Jones, Brand X, the Head Hunter's rhythm section Mike Clark and Paul Jackson, and the avant-rock ensemble Dr. Nerve. After five recordings with the progressive group Tunnels and three solo recordings, vibraphonist/percussionist and composer on his latest recording "Earth is a Cruel Master" Marc returns to his own musical vision, playing with a wide range of interests and textures by combining great jazz-rock with thought-provoking themes such as recent scientific discoveries, climate change and the human condition.
