About Wipeout

There are at least three different artists/bands called Wipeout. 1. Wipeout was a British R&B combo during the mod revival of around 1983. They released three singles, an EP and a full-length LP, No Sweat (1983). Personnel: Jim Riley (vocals, blues harp), Murray Hill (lead guitar), Adrian Meads (guitar, vocals), Chris Milner (bass, vocals) and Andy Neall (drums). 2. Wipeout is a grindcore band from Vladivostok, Russia. 3. Straight out of Austria's stahlstadt (Steel City) of Linz come these three gentlemen with a truck full of loaded weapons, aiming at your ears, hearts and minds. From their website: "Forget everything you heard about electronic pop music and open wide to recieve an ultimate mix of Pet Shop Boys-like euro disco sound, with a sexy touch of Amanda Lear, blendend with harsh 'pansonical' techno-bass-killer-trax and vocals that make you cry..." 4. Powerviolence band from Stockholm, Sweden
