About WCKD NATION
Wckd Nation is a community of musicians from Ljubljana, Slovenia, that explores new shapes and sounds of jazz-pop. Since autumn 2018, they released seven singles, which were quickly picked up by some of the leading Slovenian radio stations. After selling out headlining shows at home the band completed their first international tour in the Baltic's, including a main stage performance at Tallinn Music Week. Wckd Nation continues to tour in Slovenia, including a show at Festival Lent, a concert filmed by the Slovenian public TV broadcaster, radio sessions across the country, a show at the international showcase festival MENT in Ljubljana and hybrid shows during the pandemic. In 2020, the band has released two singles, AIRPLANE BLONDE and COME OVER, COME BY which made them one of the most visible new artists of their generation. Wckd Nation received the Slovenian music academy award Zlata Piščal (Golden Flute) in May 2021 in the category Newcomer of the Year.
