Wakadinali (also referred to Rong Rende) is a Kenyan rap trio hailing from Nairobi’s Eastland area . Wakadinali explores Hip Hop genres including localized drill (based on the Chicago and Uk Drill featuring Sheng and storytelling). Wakadinali's members are Scar Mkadinali (born Churchill Mandela), Domani (born David Munga Ramadhan), and Sewer Sydaa (born Salim Ali Tangut). Scar and Domani are the principal founders. The group’s musical journey started in 2003 thanks to Scar and Domani who rapped at tender ages. They struggled to make it big and fought stiff competition from renowned artists in the genre. Their efforts went unnoticed for a long time, but this did not pull them down. They released their debut album, “Mrenga”, in 2017 and gained more recognition and fans. They are known for their raw and authentic lyrics that reflect the realities of life in the ghetto.
