About Vespertina

There is more than one artist with this name. 1) Vespertina was a project created by Greg Spalenka and Michelle Barnes, described as New Age Gothic. “The Visions of Vespertina” is a musical odyssey and follows a young 13th century mystic as she journeys to the underworld of her soul. This limited edition CD, complimented by a 24 page booklet of art, was released on Hyperium Records in 1999. 2) Vespertina is comprised of critically acclaimed producer Stoupe (Jedi Mind Tricks, Dutch), and vocalist/pianist Lorrie Doriza. Their debut album, "The Waiting Wolf" is classically-inspired trip-hop, featuring Doriza's original compostitions and Stoupe's trademark drums and production. The two first worked together on the song "Find a Way" from Stoupe's 2009 solo album "Decalogue."
