About VR-NOBODY
The work on this album started in November 2014 and was finished in April 9th, 2015. It is our first serious music project in our lives and we are happy to finally bring it to life. At first, the album should've been named ‘Slashlove’, but we didn't want the word to “die” with the first album. So we changed our minds and decided it to name it ‘We Are Nobody’, but even that didn't sound right to us and after few days we came up with ‘YET.’ We loved the simplicity and the connection between pronounciation “We are nobody, yet.” Because we belive that this is just a starting point for us. Most of the creative process was done in czech mountains Krkonoše within 5 days, few weeks after we've done about 10 recording and finishing sessions in Starworks studio in Prague. Until this phase of process we did all by ourselves. Then, the mixing was very important thing and Tomáš Sochůrek helped us a lot, also with recording strings, flute and sax. The final process of mastering was done by the great Tony Dixon at Masterpiece Studios in London, UK. It was such an honor and strong moment to get the sound we hear from artists we love and respect. All tracks composed by Jakub Strach & Václav Rouček, except ‘Yet’ (co-produced by Dalyb). All vocals and lyrics by Václav Rouček. Strings in ‘Slashlove’ by Filip Kottek, Ondřej Holas. Saxophone in ‘Vibes’ and flute in ‘Way’ by Radimo. Recorded at Starworks Studio. Mixed by Tomáš Sochůrek at Studio Jižák. Mastered by Tony Dixon at Masterpiece Studios London.
