Born January 2002 in the north coast city of Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal, TrYangle is formed by Gonçalo da Silva Nova (guitar and vocals), Nuno Maio (bass), and Ricardo Castro (drums). Autumn of 2008, and after some studio experiences in the past, the band decides to record a demo in order to present themselves to the music labels… Later that same year, they receive a positive answer from the British label Lockjaw records, who agreed to collaborate with TrYangle to record their first album. July 7th 2009, is the release date for the debut album self-titled “TrYangle”, which catapults the trio into the music industry. Influenced by a vast range of artists such as Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Soundgarden or Meshuggah, just to name a few… the band -with the release of this album- intends to show to a larger audience the creativity that so much characterizes their songs. More and more concerts are awaited, and the band aspires to dedicate a good part of the near future on the road… Something different, something honest… living MUSIC through one's own perspective… "I cannot place TrYangle in a genre as these sets of musicians have simply redefined rock, as we know it today.
