Latvian electronic dance music producer Tobu, in full name Toms Burkovskis, is known for his addictive melodies and positive energy his music give to listeners. A vast majority of his songs are instrumentals and he primarily creates music in style of Progressive / Melodic House. Tracks like "Candyland", "Hope", "Sunburst", "Cloud 9" and "Colors" (just to name a few) have accumulated countless millions of streams and views on Spotify and YouTube. Tracks from his discography have been used widely by content creators all over the globe. Before Toms got into music, he was a freelance web developer specializing in PHP, SQL, HTML and CSS programming languages. He started his music production journey in 2010 after being heavily inspired by Avicii and deadmau5. Tobu doesn't have any musical education, however, over time, self-taught Latvian has found his way to understand which piano keys and combinations sound right together and that has helped him a lot with improvising and coming up with his own melodies. Uploading track after track daily on SoundCloud and receiving more supportive comments with every new upload encouraged him to keep releasing and reach wider audiences. He eventually got a lot of support from promotional channels on YouTube and was soon discovered by NCS in 2013. The label released a lot of his music with huge success. Tom's other hobbies include photography, woodworking, PC builds, 3D printing, scale model car collecting & more.
