Allhoff's piano playing is characterised by its technical brilliance and emotional intensity. The pianist combines the depth and complexity of classical music with the freedom and expression of jazz, and this is precisely what his fans and musical partners appreciate in equal measure. His interpretations of classical works are characterised by a profound sensitivity and an intuitive understanding of the musical language of the masters - innovative and respectful at the same time. Tim Allhoff has undoubtedly been a fixture on the German music scene for two decades. He can look back on ten releases under his own name, can be heard as a guest on many other recordings, has been honoured with the Echo award and was nominated for the Deutsche Musikautorenpreis. He is a sought-after accompanist on the piano and has played with artists such as Fatma Said, Angelique Kidjo, Ane Brun, Lucienne Renaudin-Vary, the Leonkoro string quartet, and even played the piano on a track for Robbie Williams. He is also in demand as a composer and arranger, where he draws on his rich pool of influences to create a fascinating soundscape that is both accessible and sophisticated. He has written works for a wide variety of ensembles, from solo piano to symphony orchestra, worked on commissions such as the music for the opening concert of the World Economic Forum in Davos or arrangements for the Orchestre de chambre de Paris, Oscar-winner Rachel Portman, violinist Eldbjørg Hemsing, cellist Anastassija Kobekina and many other artists. In February 2025, Allhoff releases his tenth album with works by J.S. Bach, which is also his first purely classical recording. The pianist is a Steinway Artist and official ambassador for Boston Pianos, designed by Steinway & Sons.
