About Thornhill
Thornhill is an alternative metal band from Melbourne, Australia, formed in 2015. Originally starting off playing metalcore, they have since shifted towards a Deftones-inspired alt metal sound. They debut in 2016 with an EP titled 13, and followed it up with another EP called Butterfly two years later. 2019 saw the release of their debut LP The Dark Pool, which garnered acclaim from critics and fans alike and is considered to be their best work. Since then, Thornhill has released Heroine in 2022, their first alternative metal album and BODIES in 2025, which also took influences from nu metal. Thornhill is: Jacob Charlton (vocals, guitar), Ethan McCann (guitar), Ben Maida (drums), Nick Sjogren (bass) Past members include: Sam Anderson (guitar, 2015-17), Matt Van Duppen (guitar, 2017-22)
