They Promised Escape was a post-hardcore band from Youngstown, Ohio, United States in the winter of 2008. They Promised Escape was formed by drummer Mike Mazzoli, guitarist Pierce Aron and vocalist Mason Edmunds. After recording their first songs, They Promised Escape began to gain attention in Northeast, Ohio. After multiple studio trips, member changes and countless shows They Promised Escape unveiled a sound that made them stand out from the normal scene. Combining catchy and technical instrumentals with melodic singing and contrary screaming allows them to reach out to a wider audience. Now, this solid five piece with the addition of bass player Shaun O'Neill and guitar player Joe Fiedorczyk will continue together.
