The Wildes are an Australian country/rock and roll band, formed in 2008. Their debut album Ballad of a Young Married Man was released in Australia in April '09 and has received lots of support from the Australian music press and radio. The sound has been compared to artists such as The Bad Seeds, The Waterboys, Steve Earle and Tom Waits. The songs have a strong story-telling element. The album is due for release in the UK and USA later in 09.
