About The Victims
There are at least four bands called The Victims, and more called Victims. 1) The Victims were a three piece from Perth, Australia that existed for a brief time between 1977 - 1979. 1978 saw the band release their full body of work - a single and a 5 song EP known as the 'No Thanks to the Human Turd' EP. Memebers Dave Faulkner and James Baker would later go on to form/join the better known power-pop/rock band Hoodoo Gurus. Unfortunately there is no official re-issue of this and I don't know if/when they will be one. And of course if anyone knows, any of their original stuff on vinyl is nearly impossible to find and if you do find it it's selling for $500+ on ebay. There are boot-leg/re-issues out there, but I don't personally know where to find them, I've seen them in a record shop or two. But only one copy. Re-formed in 2014 under the name Television Addicts with Ray Ahn of Hard-Ons for some live appearances but started releasing new material as The Victims in 2019. 2) There were also an US-american hardcore punk band called The Victims in the early 00's. 3) US - The Victims 78-80's see Victim http://rateyourmusic.com/release/ep/victims_f1/victims/ 4) German punk band from Augsburg, early 1980s.
