There are multiple artists under this name: 2. The Step was a British band signed by Epic in the early 80s. Their style incorporated elements of rnb, new wave, power pop, and rock and roll-- sounding similar to American contemporaries Huey Lewis & The News. They are perhaps best known for their dance floor ready tune "Love Letter", the first of their five singles. 3. The Step (often known just as 'Step') was a British house music group best known for the 1991 WARP Records single "Hey You", which also had several remixes.
