The first album, This Is The Slow Club, which received downright hymnal praise and was bestowed the Amadeus award, consisted exclusively of cover versions of famous titles from the American Songbook. It would have been easy to pursue this concept further; there would have been plenty of classics to choose from… Affirmed by the positive experiences of many intense live concerts, the desire arose to write solely original songs for the second album. For two years, Hansi Lang, Thomas Rabitsch & Wolfgang Schlögl worked on the follow-up project. The basis for these songs was laid entirely in improvised jam sessions. In doing so, each of the three Slow Club protagonists concentrated on his respective area of expertise: Lang on voice and text, Rabitsch on piano, e-piano and organ, Schlögl on electronics and sound. The material was developed mutually without time constraints; the outcome is now available. With new memorable melodies – and familiar depth. With great soul, vast emotion – and an unforgettable voice. The Slow Club House of Sleep – the final encore of one of the country’s most anticipated music projects.
