About The SlimP

The SlimP are a fascinating dark-wave band from Cologne. Inspired by the sounds of the 80ies and influenced by bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure and Fields of the Nephilim, they set forth to find their way into the world of music. Introducing two bass guitars and exposing sexy front singer Elisa, whose voice might remind you of Anne Clark, the SlimP have created their own sound scenery. Still it's dark, still it's wave, but it's different! The SlimP love to play live and know how to handle their instruments as well as their audience. With their repertoire ranging from calm songs to hard noise, the band can be easily put on live bills beside bands from the fields of Wave, Gothic or Metal. The SlimP's first album "Masquerade", a 9-track home production, was completed in April 2004 and sells unexpectedly well. Now their second album "Some Seconds Later" is also available - 40 minutes of gorgeous dark wave. Now the band is already working on the third album - with new songs, new sounds and some live-tracks. In August 2008 the digital compilation "Recall" was released, including all songs from 2003 till 2005.
