There are at least four bands that share Showdown in their name; 1. "The Showdown" is a crushing five-piece band from Elizabethton, Tenn. who have crafted an epic heavy metal sound for listeners who enjoy their music relentlessly. The Showdown's style shifts effortlessly from Southern rock to European death and everything in between. Lyrically, their writing tells of heroism, sojourns and battles of life; melodically, their crushing rhythm and articulate guitar play takes the listener on a roller-coaster ride of emotion. The result is a brutal and honest anthem for the youth of today, with a strong Christian message, in the form of A Chorus of Obliteration, the groups debut album. 2.A Hardcore Band from Norway called "Showdown" 3. A hip-hop duo from Slovenia called ShowDown. 4. Canadian country band. Also known as Garry Lee & Showdown. Their most well known song is "The Rodeo Song." They are incorrectly "corrected" as "The Showdown." This artist will be removed from this bio when this is properly assigned. 5. SHOWDOWN is a Country/Southern Rock band based in OKC, OK. The band is made up of musicians with decades of recording and touring experience. They've combined their eclectic musical backgrounds to forge a unique and hard-hitting Country/Rock sound which is highlighted by a high-energy live performance. Guitarist Tim Chisholm, also played in OK-based 80s hair band, Teaser.
