About The Holidays

The Holidays is the name of more than one group. (1): The Holidays are an Australian indie/soul band. Formed in Sydney in 2006, the band consists of Simon Jones, Will Magnus, Alex Kortt and Andrew Kerridge. In Australia, the band has released 2 EP's (The Holidays & When The Ship Goes Down) & their debut album "Post Paradise" in September 2010. Post Paradise has also been released in Japan. The Holidays have played shows in the USA & the UK as well as their home country of Australia. (2): A power pop band based in Seattle active in the early 90s. (3): The Holidays were a Detroit group who are remembered for a record, "I'll Love You Forever," (1966) that their members didn't even appear on. Edwin Starr sang lead and J.J. Barnes and Steve Mancha supplied backing vocals, and some say that Eddie Anderson made the session too. When the record hit, producer Don Davis revitalized the Holidays with new members to capitalize on the song's success. Starr, Barnes, and Mancha never performed as the Holidays. (4): The Holidays is a one-person punk band from Philadelphia, PA, United States. http://theholidays.bandcamp.com/ (5): The Holidays is a Christian punk band from the late 1980s.
