Hailing from Cherry Hill, NJ, The Modbeats are a four-piece revival-rock band breathing new life into classic sounds. With roots in surf, jangle-pop, psychedelic rock, blues, and rockabilly, the group features Philip Dunn (vocals, guitar), Scott Matison (bass), Fizz (drums), and Joe Mandia (guitar). Their debut single “Ballad of a Starving Artist” landed on WXPN’s Power Pop Extravaganza, and they’ve since been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Rock at Night, Powerpopaholic, and more. In 2024, they earned a spot on Music Connection’s Hot 100 Live Unsigned Artists and Bands list.
