The band changed its name to Love Affair in 1976. Because of a disagreement, its record label released the second album under the shortened name L.A. In 1983, the band changed its name again, this time to Unknown Stranger, before changing back to Love Affair in the very late days prior to splitting up in 1984. The band's self-titled 1980 debut album featured the regional hit single "Mama Sez". 3) Love Affair was a disco group that released a single "Heartquake" in 1979.
