About The Long Hello

When Peter Hammill broke up Van Der Graaf Generator after their 1971 album Pawn Hearts, the rest of them formed The Long Hello as an alternate band (although they also played on Hammill's solo albums). However, after making one album in 1974, Hammill reunited VDGG, so the project was abandonned until the 80s when they had once again broken up. www.rateyourmusic.com
