About The Hydrants
The Hydrants are a three-piece band based in New York whose sound can best be described as folk-punk. With influences varying from the Velvet Underground to Philip Glass to Woody Guthrie to everything in between, the three members come together to make a sound completely their own. Some songs are light melodic folk tunes, while others are raw stripped-down rockin' punk anthems, with some psychedelic mind-melting jams in between, while still somehow all fitting together in a sincere way that makes perfect sense. Regardless, Hydrants performances are always a party, and you'll always regret the one you missed.
