the group image was formed in 1966 out of electric acid jam sessions in th east village they were on the cover of time magazine in 1968 i was there I was a drummer and master of ceremonies we had two bands the other neer recorded it was called the second hand band there was never any recording success for TGI but the live show they put on weekly in NYC NY at the palm gardens and the hotel diplomat were very successful the image you have of the band and the window was the cover of thier only lp it was propuced by the manager of the vanilla fudge the live shows were attended by all the elite artist and and so on the girl singer Shiela was the darling of ny acid rockers she is featured on Hiya and open your heart
