About The Given Horse
The Given Horse consists of Johannes Peetsma and Marius van der Leij. They met each other on the Academy of Popmusic in Leeuwarden where they both played in the band Diss Nie Okay. They both had the same mission and vision and so they decided to start The Given Horse. They begun with playing on the streets of Groningen with a mix of their own songs and covers. After doing this for a couple of months they went looking for adventure. With little money they went to the United Stated where they made a living playing street music. Traveling from town to town to see what they could get with playing music.
