There may be several artists operating as "The Extremist." 1: a dark electronic project originated in Philadelphia. From The Extremist's website: "in a time before the towers fell, it began with kennneth, a headphone amp and a television. progressed to a guitar and a talkboy, then came matt stevenson, who showed an interest in these grating challenges to the ear. after taking kennneth under his wing and giving him a keyboard, he added his own musical bent to the project, playing some keyboards, recording and producing. as time went on, more gear was added to the great machine and it continues to grow. the extremist lays no claim to musicianship, only sonic sculpture." The participants of The Extremist are also members of Radio Eris.
