About The Clay People
Hailing from Albany, NY, the Industrial-rock outfit the Clay People originally formed in 1989. Although many different members have passed through their ranks throughout the years, two constant members have been vocalist Dan Neet and guitarist Brian McGarvey. Over the course of five albums, the band has evolved from a sequencer-based band to a more conventionally rock-based one, but without sacrificing any of their heavy, aggressive Industrial sound. Settling on a lineup that consisted of Neet and McGarvey along with drummer Dan Dinsmore, second guitarist Mike Guzzardi, and bassist Dan Walsh, the group signed to Slipdisc Records, an affiliate of Mercury. 1998 saw the release of their self-titled album, which was produced by Neil Kernon (who has worked in the past with the likes of David Bowie and Queensryche). The Clay People are: Daniel Neet: Vocals Brian McGarvey: Guitar Dan Dinsmore: Drums John Delehanty: Guitar Eric Schwanke: Bass Their latest album, Waking The Dead, was released on May 22, 2007.
