About The Black Halos

The Black Halos hail from Vancouver, British Columbia Their sound is old-school punk with a strong influence from the glory days of C.B.G.B.'s. The band began in 1994 as the Black Market Babies before changing their name to The Black Halos in 1998. They released two albums: the self-titled The Black Halos (1999) & The Violent Years (2001). In 2001 they disbanded, but reformed in 2005, releasing their 3rd album Alive Without Control. They released a 4th album in 2008 entitled We are not Alone. In August of 2009, singer Billy Hopeless announced that they had once again disbanded. As of 2011, they are still broken up. Billy Hopeless currently does vocals for The Bonitos Adam Becvare currently plays in the lustkillers Rob Zgaljic now plays in Vienna Red Jay Millette now plays in Darlings of Chelsea Matt Camirand now plays in Black Mountain
