About The Takeaways

1) Fictional band from 1983-ish Australian TV show Sweet & Sour. Most of the music was actually sung by Deborah Conway. 2) The Takeaways, from VARIOUS ARTISTS: "Bunch of Stiffs" (Stiff SEEZ 2). Food was the final track on the 1977 Various Artists album “A Bunch Of Stiff Records” (Stiff Records SEEZ2), and it may infact be that the group only “existed” for the recording of this song! Performed by Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, Larry Wallis och Sean Tyla. ”Food”, is written by Wallis (alter ego C Kid). Chris Lee from 'Alberto y lost trios Paranoias' makes the Dylan impersonation.
