About The Renegades

There are at least three bands named "The Renegades" (1) A rock band founded in Birmingham, Great Britain, in 1960. The band never had any success in their home country, but they became popular in Finland in the 1960's. The Renegades recorded four LP's in Finland, but broke up in the late 1960's. They were: Kim Brown - vocals and guitar, Denys Gibson - lead guitar, Ian Mallet - bass, Graham Johnson - drums. (2) Alternative / MishMash-rock from Turzovka (Slovakia) (3) One of Chicago's most exciting and entertaining jazz-fusion groups currently featuring Paul Mutzabaugh (keyboards), Frank Alongi (drums), Jon Wegge (bass), and Chris Siebold, Mike Pinto, and/or Jeremy Bieber (guitars). Their all-original repetoire is best described as high-energy instrumental rock -- employing odd time signatures, jazz harmony, complex arrangements, and improvisation. Drawing on diverse musical influences, The Renegades offer a wide variety of fusion music... accessible and enjoyable to both musicians and non-musicians alike. Please feel free to check out the CD Baby page listed as well, where you can purchase the new record "Duncannon Shenanigan", and enjoy the full-length .MP3's on this site as well. (4) A highschool ska/reggae band from Mississauga, Ontario. (5) A DJ since 1996 and an active contributor to electronic music production since 2005 when he founded Dynamix Records, LLC and The Hacienda Studio. His styles range from 4/4 to breaks genres, future and past sounds are hybridized with surgical precision and a junglist mentality.
