About The Pontoons

Pontoons were a New York based indie-pop trio that was active in the early/mid 90's. They practiced at the legendary Grant St. rehearsal spaces in Hoboken, NJ, down the hall from Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo. Pontoons self-released two 7' singles, Juncos and Robins/bw Back Again, and Landslide/bw The Other Side before calling it quits. Tom Hunt (vocals, guitar) was joined first by Tony Skutnik (bass), and Christian Harper (drums), and then later by Pamela Margid (bass), and Dave Reynolds (drums). In February, 2012, Tom Hunt and Christian Harper released "Antidote", their first single in over 15 years. "Antidote" is slated to be part of a full-length release scheduled for later in the year.
