About The Ducks
There are at least three bands named The Ducks: (1) The Ducks were a short-lived hard rock supergroup formed in the July of 1977 by singer-songwriter Jeff Blackburn, and consisted of musicians Bob Mosley (an original member of Moby Grape), Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young, and Johnny Craviotto. The band played around the Santa Cruz area due to contractual limitations. Eventually the national media was informed that Neil Young had joined a local band. His fans flooded the concerts, leading to Young's departure and the breakup of the group. There are two known recordings of full shows by The Ducks; one on August 22 at The Catalyst Nightclub, the other on September 2 at the Civic Auditorium, which was the last show by The Ducks. (2) The Ducks are a noisecore group from Brisbane, Australia, featuring past members of John Lee Spider. (3) The Ducks were a power pop band, who later recorded as The Thornbirds. (4) The Ducks are a Glasgow based rap group fronted by MOG
