About The Carstairs

The Carstairs "It Really Hurts Me Girl", emphasised a shift at The Mecca, Blackpool, UK. The resident DJ, Ian Levine, first heard the track during a buying trip in the USA but due to a collapse of a distribution deal it had never been released. He later found three copies in a batch of 100,000 record promos that had been imported by record dealer Jon Anderton. An original copy of "It Really Hurts Me Girl" was valued at £2,500 in 2000.
