About Teenage Octopus
After lead guitarist Bobby Lewis formed Teenage Octopus in 2009, the band wasted no time hitting the Ann Arbor music scene with their fresh, unique sound. Influenced by alternative-rock bands such as Radiohead, Wilco and Spoon as well as jam-band pioneers Phish, the four-piece of University of Michigan students creates catchy melodies united with powerful jams. The band member’s individual influences and training blend a variety of styles that create a distinct feel and tight sound. After the release of their first album, Ink, the band has begun work on their second album, The Mustachioed Pistachio. Their first three releases from the upcoming album have turned a few heads. Most notably their new single, “A Taste of My Own Medicine,” has gained the interest of local radio DJs and helped extend the band's reach outside the Ann Arbor locale. http://www.teenageoctopus.com http://teenageoctopus.bandcamp.com/ http://soundcloud.com/teenage-octopus http://www.facebook.com/teenageoctopusband http://www.twitter.com/teenageoctopus
