About Tallgrass
Tallgrass is a Fort Collins based trio who describe themselves as "gravel road vocals, quick-picked guitar, and a rhythm section with stomping ground sound". Originally from Iowa, the band is comprised of brothers Adam and Austin Morford and longtime friend Matt Skinner. Tallgrass was formed in May of 2011 and has released two full albums with a third to be released mid-2015. Their debut album, God, Sin, Whiskey, and Women was released in the summer of 2012. The album is influenced by old-timey sounds with a contemporary flare and impressive three-part harmonies. Better Than Medicine represents the groups second album. This album's charm is that it doesn't come across as too bluegrassy. The three-part harmonies remain with a hint of pop and a wholly unique sound.
